Week of October 2nd - 6th

Welcome back from Fall Break! Hope you enjoyed some time off school with your kids.

Conference letters are coming home in agendas today for you see and sign. Please return them by this Thursday, 10/5. If you need a different time slot, you can either write it on that form, or email me. It will be nice to be able to sit down with all of you and have time to discuss how great your child is. See you soon! :)

We need some help with homework please. LOTS of students have not been completing it. If you see a circle in your child's agenda ... it's because they are missing work. Please don't sign their agenda unless you see all the work that has been written in there. Thanks for your help in this matter. We are working on getting a class reward for homework completion.

Reminder - next Thursday, 10/12, is an Early Release Day

Writing - Writing a strong beginning with a good hook to get your readers interested.

English - vocabulary from SS, pronouns, and the use of there, their, they're, too, to, two

Math - multiples of 10, 100, and 1000, review factors and multiples, Chapter 3 Test on Friday, 10/6 (repeated subtraction, simple multiplication, fact families, factors and multiples)

We will be taking the Math Inventory on the computers today for the 2nd time this school year. You will receive the results of that test and the Reading Inventory(taking next Tuesday 10/10) when you come to conferences.
