Pink Day is on Thursday, 10/26. Wear as much pink as you can, and bring in $1 (or more) to donate to Relay for Life/American Cancer society.
Social Studies/Reading - Explorers (Columbus, Hudson, Cabot, Cartier)
Math - Pretest for next unit, Double Digit Multiplication, Box Method/Area Model (ask your child what this is)
Health - effects of alcohol on the body and brain
Geography - Pigskin week 7 in Computer Lab on Tuesday 10/24
Counseling on 10/26
Writing - using a Story Arc to map out writing ideas, RAPS for short response questions (Restate the question, Answer the question, Prove your answer using text evidence, and Summarize)
Remember that the students are allowed to wear costumes to school on Halloween, but need to be appropriate with no masks or weapons. :)
