Week of January 22nd

Welcome back from an extended "weekend" of ice/snow days! That was unexpected! :)

So, I was looking at the calendar to do some lesson planning, and realized that there is only 9 weeks of school left until the Georgia Milestones testing (starts on Wednesday, April 11th). We have a lot of curriculum to cover before then.

SNEAK PEEK AT OUR WEEK:

Math - converting improper fractions to mixed numbers (ex. 14/3 = 4 2/3), simplifying fractions using GCF (greatest common factor)

Social Studies - Finish Colonies, French and Indian War, Stamp Act, Sugar Act (taxes)

Writing - good conclusions, Writing Fair entries, RAPS

Counseling - Career Centers 1/22

Chick-fil-A biscuit sale this week - $3.25 due by Thursday for a nice hot breakfast on Friday!!! :)
